Days Off

I just got back from 4 days off. They were busy.
Home made Tomato sauce is a lenghty process. I made some from the Roms in my garden. It does taste great.
We went motorcycle riding yesterday. Logged 72 miles all total . I was beat afterwards. I almost lost one son. He took a power slide around a curve and the shot off the embankment. Flew about 20 yards through trees. Luckily only a bruised hand. Popped the gas tank on his bike.
I am sitting here watching the chat about the NASCAR race, since I am at work and have no tv.

Winter is on it's way

Well I snowed today. Not down where I live but in the mountains above. We did get a lot of rain at the house. I hope it does not freeze. I have tomatoes in the garden still. I have weds off so plan to pick and can sauce then. Still real slow here at work. Doing a little work on quals the a lot of surfing the net. New roof seema to be holding up to the rain so far. I am not completely happy with the job I did. I was looking at it. But there was not a lot that I could do. Living in a 70+ year old house has it's plroblems. Nothing is square. with that some of the "line" of the roof really look bad.

Is anyone out there

I really don't know why I even started this. Does anyone else see it? Does anyone else care? Or is this just a place to vent. Right now I really don't care I am going to try and keep it going for a while this time. I went riding yesterday. I rode my XR400 32 miles in the mountains around Fall Creek. That is right outside of Swan Valley, ID. We had a lot of fun. No crashes this time.

I finally got my roof on. I still have some of the trim to do, but the rain won't lean in the way it is. Speaking of rain, the weather forcast for the next few days include "SNOW". I know it is at the higher elavations, but that means rain down here. I hope it does not freeze yet. I still have tomatoes wheich have not ripened yet. I am hoping that they will on the vine.

Here I sit another day(night) at my great job. We still can't do our job because we don't have all the "bugs" worked out. "Soon" they say.

Another day

Here I am at work. We made some ambitious plans for today. We were suppose to make a few entries to further along the plant start-up. I got in and no other department could support. Parts are not available. Machinist can't make parts because ove the weekend they moved their shop and have no power in new room. So here I sit surfing again. Making plans to go hunting next month.

I am figuring more out. Now I just have to figure out how to get people to come look at my blog. Oh and I need to get a real life so that I have something to share with everyone.

Here I sit trying to figure out how to make this thing look better. I can't figure out how to change things. I wonder if there is a help site for bloggers? I will get back to this later.

Well I was just surfing and ran across "Blogs". I remembered I signed up for one a while back. It had kind of skipped my mind. I looked it up. It has been right at a year since I started this thing and have not made a post since.

A lot of things have changed since then. I am no longer at the building supply store. I now work for a Nuclear waste disposal plant. The basic process is to take old waste, which had been buried in the ground, dig it up. We then take it and put it in a giant trash compactor and smash it the ship it down to N.M. for underground storage. Right now the plant is still inthe startup stage. We have a few more "bugs" to work out and the we will be up and running. So right now we mostly sit around and surf the net.

On the lighter side of things. I have made a lot of new friends since my very first post. I have played a lot of golf this summer. I am still not any good. I consistently shoot 103 to 110. About 1 1/2 months ago I bought 3 motorcycles. A 2000 XR400, 1986 XR250(bored to 280) and 1987 XR250. Golf has gone to the way side. My brother inlaw and our sons go riding every sunday. It is almost a "religous" experience. You ought to see ithe sights. The mountains in Idaho are beautiful. I will post a few pics when I get home today. Hunting seasons is coming on and I can hear the Elk trembling already. Or maybe that is them rolling on the ground laughing at me for another year. More on that subject to come in the coming weeks.
